Richard Sternal has been passionate about aviation since his third-grade days, and that early spark never left him. With 22 years as a pilot with American Airlines, two years as an associate engineer at Boeing Commercial Aircraft working on 747 flight controls and experience as a bush pilot in Alaska, Sternal brings a wealth of real-world expertise to the classroom. He loves teaching the Advanced Aircraft Systems and Aerodynamics courses because he can draw from his own background to enhance the student experience. His aim is always to make complex concepts accessible and engaging for future pilots.
