Education
M.S., Tribhuvan University (Kirtipur, Nepal) Ph.D., University of North Texas (Denton)
From early in his high school years, Dili Subedi succeeded in school. As the top student in his class, he tutored his peers and upperclassmen. He began teaching in 2008 while working toward his undergraduate degree and after receiving his master’s degree, he went on to teach undergraduate students in various colleges in Nepal. While at the University of North Texas (Denton) for his doctoral education in organic chemistry, Subedi taught students, offered mentoring in labs and also participated in cutting-edge research.
Chemistry is Subedi’s favorite course to teach because he likes that his students can apply concepts while learning chemistry without the need for memorization. He uses model kits to show the structure of compounds during his class, giving students a clear picture of molecules and improving their understanding. He encourages his students to apply chemistry knowledge to real-world contexts which can show the relevance of chemistry in their daily lives and future careers.
Subedi lives in Hesston, Kansas, with his wife and child.
