
Director of Campus Facilities
Hesston College is seeking a collaborative, service-oriented leader to serve as our director of campus facilities. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong teams, solving problems and creating an exceptional campus environment where students, employees and visitors can thrive.
As director of campus facilities, you will provide strategic leadership for all campus facilities operations, ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe, well-maintained and welcoming. You'll lead a dedicated team while partnering with departments across campus to support the college's mission. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefits-eligible position.
What you'll do
- Provide vision, leadership and direction for all campus facilities operations.
- Foster a culture of outstanding customer service and collaboration across campus.
- Lead and support a team of full-time, part-time and student employees, as well as volunteers.
- Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs and long-term facility renewal plans.
- Manage auxiliary services such as facility rentals and vending operations to enhance both revenue and user experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate property, liability and workers' compensation insurance activities with the business office and vice president of finance.
- Partner with student life to support campus safety and security initiatives.
- Develop and manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
- Provide day-to-day leadership for major construction and renovation projects, serving as a key liaison with architects, contractors and campus stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who communicates well, enjoys working with people, values the mission of Hesston College and has experience managing facilities, operations or similar functions.
Qualifications include:
- Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five or more years of relevant facilities, operations, leadership or administrative experience.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse campus constituents.
- A genuine commitment to the mission and values of Hesston College.
