Softball Head Coach

Hesston College seeks a Softball Head Coach. This position is a full time, 12-month work agreement benefits eligible position. As a part of the athletics department, this position will be responsible for all aspects of the softball program at Hesston College. Responsibilities include recruiting prospective athletes, scheduling, managing budget, travel arrangements and mentoring and caring for student-athletes within the context of the mission of Hesston College with a special emphasis on recruitment, athletic excellence and student success. Our athletic program is built on the Hesston College athletic core values: accountability, engagement, joy and community. We expect you to model these values and mentor your student-athletes to grow in each one of these values.

To be successful in this position, you will need a passion for softball and the success of student-athletes. You will need to be organized, relational and have excellent communication and computer skills. Our goal is to find someone with a master’s degree (bachelor’s degree required) or with successful softball coaching experience at the collegiate level; a demonstrated success in recruiting student-athletes; and knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations or a willingness to learn. The head coach has a varied work schedule to include afternoons, nights and weekend hours, combined with business hours and some moderate travel.
