Hesston College is looking for someone who has a passion for cultivating new and existing relationships, a drive to meet set goals and an eagerness to represent Hesston College at local events and within their assigned territory. Is that you? Your goal as a Development Officer is to build relationships with alumni and friends in an effort to keep them engaged with the college and introduce them to opportunities for giving back to the college. Giving back may include financial donations, establishing a planned gift, hosting an alumni event in their home, serving as a class representative at Homecoming, promoting the college in their area and beyond.
Responsibilities include:
- Invite financial support for the annual fund and the campaign
- Collaborate and coordinate efforts with larger development and advancement team
- Coordinate Phonathon
- Work toward alumni engagement
To be successful in this position, you will need to have strong relational skills, writing and public speaking skills, integrity, confidentiality, significant attention to detail, ability to work independently and business acumen. This position will average one week of out-of-state travel monthly as well as travel within Kansas.
