Electrical Engineering Professor

Hesston College seeks an Electrical Engineering Professor to teach courses as a faculty member in the School of Engineering. Candidates should have a master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical or a related discipline (Ph.D. preferred). This is a full-time benefits-elgible, 9-month position with annual renewal.

The Electrical Engineering Professor will teach electrical engineering courses including Circuits, Digital System Design, Process Control, and Electrical Power and Machinery. Additional coursework will be assigned based on the individual strengths, preferences and the experience of the successful candidate.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Equip and manage the electrical engineering laboratory
  • Contribute to success of the Hesston College robotics team
  • Use state-of-the-art classroom teaching technologies
  • Assist with engineering curriculum and program development
  • Participate in the accreditation process
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Maintain effective working relationships

  • Experience teaching post-secondary engineering students
  • Practical engineering experience
  • Able to work effectively as a team member and independently
  • Excellent communication skills
