Marcia Mendez, director of Financial Aid at Hesston College announced the following students as recipients of an academic scholarship for the 2012-13 year, based on their academic achievements.

Academic scholarships are awarded to students based on a matrix of high school GPA and ACT or SAT test scores.

Recipients of the Dean’s Scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA, and those receiving the President’s Scholarship must maintain a 3.5 GPA to have the scholarship renewed for the following year.

Alumni Scholarships of $1,000 per year are awarded to students with at least one parent who attended Hesston College.

Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts college of Mennonite Church USA, and offers six career programs and more than 50 transfer programs. In 2010, Hesston was named the number 2 two-year college in the country for student success by “Washington Monthly” magazine.
