Hesston College alumni and friends are invited to send their favorite recipes for a centennial cookbook that will be published and available for purchase during Homecoming 2009 scheduled for September 25-27, 2009.

“Hesston College traditions include food and fellowship,” said DaLonna Schroeder, cookbook coordinator and an administrative assistant at the college. “This collection of recipes is a way to preserve the past, as well as to add your new favorite recipes.”

“We’re looking for family favorites, new recipes that have been tried and enjoyed, and recipes that have been brought for a break at the college,” Schroeder said. “You might have a recipe that has a story about or relates to Hesston College’s history.

“The idea is to put in the most requested and favorite recipes,” she said, “so when people get the cookbook, they’ll try it. The more recipes, the better.”
