Men's and women's basketball teams travel to Nebraska this weekend

The Hesston College women's and
men's basketball teams hit the road for Nebraska this weekend, January
20-22.
Friday evening, January 20, finds the men's team competing against Hamilton College
in Lincoln, Neb., at 7 p.m., while the women play at 9 p.m. The games will be
played at Lincoln Lutheran High School, 1100 N. 56th Street.
The following evening, the Larks will face Union College, 3800 South 48th Street,
in Lincoln. The women's tip-off is at 6:45, while men's action begins at 8:45.
Sunday, January 22, the men's team will attend the 10:30 a.m. worship services
at Milford (Neb.) Mennonite Church, 920 3rd Street. The women will attend the
10:30 a.m. worship service at Bellwood Mennonite Church, 520 B Street, in Milford.
Hesston College alumni and friends are invited to support the Larks at the games
and visit with the team and coaches at the worship services.
The women's team, boasting a record of 10-7, are coached by Joel Kauffman, now
in his 19th season as women's coach.
Meanwhile, Tim Swartzendruber is in his 2nd season as coach of the men's team,
which sports a 6-10 record.
Both teams compete in Division II of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
Located in south central Kansas, Hesston College is the two-year liberal arts
college of the Mennonite Church USA.
