Clark Roth, vice president for
admissions at Hesston College, recently received an award for his
service in Christian college admissions from the National Association
of Christian College Admission Personnel (NACCAP). A committee of
NACCAP board of directors selected him as the award recipient.
"Clark received the service award
because of his dedication to Christian higher education, his cutting-edge
management style, and his great contribution to the NACCAP organization,"
commented Chris Miller, NACCAP board member.
Roth was nominated for the award
by his admissions staff at Hesston College. He was also recognized
for an article he wrote in Admissions Marketing Report. In his article,
Roth discussed the newly implemented idea of personalized print-on-demand.
The Hesston College Admissions staff is constantly looking for new
ways to improve and invent more effective recruitment strategies.
With personalized print-on-demand, they are able to send out publications
to prospective students, customized for each individual. "It's all
about connections - if you don't make a connection, you don't have
anything," Roth said. "In today's prospective student recruitment
game, the current cross-referencing between e-recruitment (requesting
or receiving transactions over the Internet including information
or services related to learning about, applying to, and enrolling
at your college or University) and print direct-mail pieces, calls
for print pieces that individualize the recruitment effort."
Roth has been leading the Hesston
College Admissions effort since 1993.
